You're probably seeing a lot of Dylan Gelula recently. The teenage actress not only stars as Gretchen Doyle on TV Land's original series Jennifer Falls, but she also has a recurring role as Ford, a friend of Brenna Carver (Haley Ramm) on ABC Family's new drama Chasing Life. We caught up with Dylan during a break in her schedule last week to talk about both projects.

"It's pretty nice," she told us. "It hasn't literally been two jobs at once. The pilot of Jennifer Falls, I shot during Chasing Life. Tuesdays and Wednesdays I'm on TV; that's got to be an ideal [situation]."

Chasing Life is a dramatic series based on a Mexican telenovela focusing on a woman with cancer played by Christina Ricci, while Jennifer Falls is a laugh-out-loud family comedy about mothers and daughters in which Dylan co-stars with Jaime Pressly and Archer's Jessica Walter. Does she like the difference between projects? "Totally," she said. "They're just completely different demographics, completely different experiences. I'm very lucky."

Whether she's playing the best friend or the wisecracking daughter, Dylan is impressing audiences with her energetic performances. But don't expect the success to go to her head. She's still firmly down to earth. "I have so little experience, I can't imagine people knowing who I am. I can't imagine how that would feel," she laughed, adding that she's not tuned in to her own shows. "I'm just not that interested in watching myself. I like working, but once it's on, I don't really care."

The fact that she's a professional actress hasn't even quite sunk in yet either. "This feels like I'm at summer camp and I have to go back to my parents at any moment. Or they're at least going to come up to visiting day," Dylan continued. Previously, she got her TV start in a 2011 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and you may have also seen her in an episode of NCIS in 2013.

Now she's being introduced to national audiences twice a week in two different shows, and hopefully people will take notice of this up-and-coming actress who's proven she can play both sides of the TV spectrum. With her whole career ahead of her, what would Dylan like to see coming her way in the future?

"I want to have the experience of doing a movie. I've never had that," she told us. "I'm trying to collect experiences and figure out from there. My boyfriend and I watched the entire second season of Orange Is The New Black. it's my favorite show that's come out in a long time. It's just completely, beautifully developed characters for women."

Chasing Life airs Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/PT on ABC Family and Jennifer Falls airs Wednesdays at 10:30 PM ET/PT on TV Land (check your local listings for specific channels). You can also find Dylan on Twitter (@DylanGelula).
