Dying woman is reunited with her beloved dog 'Sherlock'

According to Tuesday's publication of The Coloradoan, the Fort Collins, Colo., woman who is battling end-stage breast cancer has been reunited with her beloved pit bull, "Sherlock."

Though Pat Cudd's diagnosis has not changed, the way that she feels has. Earlier this year, Cudd's health had deteriorated to the point that she was looking into hospice care. At that point in time, with her future uncertain, she had reached out to find someone to care for Sherlock.

Today, Cudd has regained her strength and she now feels well enough to live in a home near Colorado State University, where she has been working to secure her master's degree.

Now that Cudd is residing in a house, and with her improved health, she has been able to welcome Sherlock back home.
