Dying comedian gets his chance to do Letterman show

Stand-up comedian Steve Mazan, who has inoperable liver cancer, finally got his wish Friday night to perform on The Late Show With David Letterman.

Sure, he'd been on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, but at the top of the comic's wish list was a spot on Letterman -- so much so that he had a Web site titled Dyingtodoletterman.com (which doesn't appear to be working anymore, although his MySpace page is up and running).

He did a funny set on hotels and got the crowd laughing heartily at his jokes, as you can see:
