According to the Huffington Post on Sunday, Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade and actress Gabrielle Union got married on Saturday, Aug. 30 in Miami before a small crowd of family members and friends. Wade proposed back in Dec. with help from his two children from a previous marriage, sons Zaire and Zion, and his nephew, Dahveon, whom he's raising.
The couple exchanged wedding vows at the gorgeous, moated Chateau Artisan on Saturday. The star-studded affair had a black and white theme and was attended by celebrities such as Chris Bosh, Will Packer, Dorell Wright, Corinne Kaplan, Kevin Hart and John Legend.
According to Us Magazine, Gabrielle looked like a princess as she wore a a custom Dennis Basso gown from Kleinfeld Bridal while Wade wore a customized white suit by Dsquared2, his personally designed Wedding Collection bowtie from The Tie Bar and a boutonniére by Floral Fix. John Legend performed at the ceremony before guests enjoyed the reception.
Wedding guests were instructed not to post photos, but the couple kept the public updated all weekend themselves. Both Wade and Union posted their own pictures of themselves, family and friends. Union took to Instagram to share photos from the celebratory weekend and to post how happy she was. She posted, "All my loved ones are in town... Today is a good day... I must say I'm feeling blessed and humbled and just freakin happy... Let's go!!! #thewadeunion."
The "Being Mary Jane" star reportedly insisted on a prenuptial agreement in this marriage, as she has been married once before. This is the second marriage for actress Union, 41, and Miami Heat shooting guard Wade, 32. Wade has two children, but Union has none.
