Will Mark Ballas dance in “Dancing with the Stars” finale on Monday night? PEOPLE reports that Ballas, who is partnered with Candace Cameron Bure, was badly injured during rehearsals on Sunday and transported to the hospital.

A spokesperson for the show told PEOPLE that Ballas was “seriously injured during camera blocking” and his shoulder “popped out during a lift.”

Ballas was injured when he lifted Bure onto his shoulders. “DWTS” pro dancers Derek Hough and Cheryl Burke were also at the studio rehearsing when Ballas was hurt and reportedly came to his aid before he was transported to a local hospital for medical care.

This is not the first time the pro dancer has been injured during rehearsals for the show. He also hurt his shoulder during season five finale back in 2007, dislocating his left shoulder during a performance with actress Sabrina Bryan.

It is still unclear whether or not he will be able to perform on Monday’s show, but he has been released from the hospital. Ballas reportedly wants to perform despite his injury, but another pro will learn the scheduled routine in case he cannot perform.

Mark and Candace are two of the four couples who will compete in the “DWTS” season 18 two-night finale that begins on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. The live two-hour results show will air on Tuesday after a 60 minute special "The Road to the Finals" airs starting at 9 p.m. ET.
