"Dancing with the Stars" season 17 resumes Sept. 30 on ABC as the couples take to the ballroom to celebrate Hollywood week. With science guy Bill Nye already partially hobbled by a torn ligament, a second star revealed via a Sept. 28 tweet that he too would dance injured during week three.
"Pretty Little Liars" star Brant Daugherty spilled the injury beans to followers, tweeting "despite hurting my foot this week, I want you to know that @PetaMurgatroyd and I will still perform Monday night! The show must go on #DWTS."
The injury is decidedly ill-timed, as the attractive duo is slated to perform the physically demanding, footwork intensive quickstep for judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman and America's votes.
Daugherty and Murgatroyd scored middle of the pack-worthy numbers for their first two dances of the new "DWTS" season. They opened the competition with a Sept. 16 cha cha cha that earned a very respectable mark of 22 points, and followed the effort with a steamy week two rumba that snagged a mark of 23.
"Dancing with the Stars" season 17 continues Sept. 30. The 11 couples still competing for the title include Daugherty and Murgatroyd, Nye and Tyne Stecklein, "Rhoda" actress Valerie Harper and Tristan MacManus, "Glee" alum Amber Riley and Derek Hough, "The Voice" social media correspondent Christina Milian and Mark Ballas, comedian Bill Engvall and Emma Slater, "Saved by the Bell" star Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Val Chmerkovskiy, "King of Queens" alum Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani, "High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff, reality star Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke, and "Jersey Shore" alum Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Sasha Farber.
