However, many had suspected over recent weeks that things had changed, and that's exactly what Us Weekly confirmed on Feb. 15. According to their sources, Maks and Peta have split.
According to the magazine, Maksim Chmerkovskiy is the one who initiated the split, and Peta Murgatroyd supposedly wasn't ready for it to end. There are many “DWTS” fans who think that she was always more into him than vice versa, so this type of split would seem in-line with how things seemingly have gone all along. Sources indicate the split happened around the beginning of February, and that “He wasn't feeling her anymore.”
Maks has been out-and-about schmoozing it up at New York Fashion Week, while Peta has been quite busy with photo shoots and other commitments. Murgatroyd dyed her blonde locks brunette, and fans have been flooding her social media accounts with compliments on how gorgeous she looks now. If she is dealing with heartbreak, she seems to be doing her best to keep it at bay by staying busy. She definitely has a lot of fan support.
Peta and Maksim are very likely to both be participants in the spring season of “Dancing With the Stars,” which will begin rehearsals very soon.
