Bristol Palin’s was under heavy security last night on “Dancing with the Stars.” Bristol Palin has been the object of death threats, as has her dance partner, Mark Ballas. For this reason, DWTS was under heavy guard last night, according to Fox News.
DWTS went from an entertaining family hour to now causing death threats on a young girl who just went there to dance. This is due to Bristol getting votes to stay in the contest, where other dancers, who may have done a better job, are being sent home.
Bristol Palin finished third in last nights scores with the judges, but the voting from the public will tell the true tale tonight. Chances are the vote will come down to Jennifer Grey vs. Bristol Palin.
The second place finish went to Kyle Massey and his partner, but chances are the voting from the viewers at home will narrow it down to Grey vs. Palin, if previous weeks votes are any indication.
The talk about Bristol Palin collecting the votes out of popularity for her mom, Sarah Palin, continue today. Many feel that some of the votes for Bristol have been politically based and more like a popularity contest than a contest of talent as it should be.
One political website, Hillbuzz, has comments from some members that appear to rally people to vote Bristol Palin to the win. One comment said that the person was able to vote for Bristol Palin 300 times by using fake email addresses.
The people commenting on Hillbuzz are suggesting there is a flaw in the system which does not validate email addresses, so by using one that looks feasibly real, votes are able to go through, this information was in an article that the Washington Post ran this week.
The votes these comments are talking about have nothing to do with Bristol Palin’s talent, it appears to be more about Bristol Palin’s popularity.
“Dancing with the Stars” could not have possibly seen this coming. It is sad that this family show is now under so much scrutiny. It is also very unfair that Bristol Palin is a target when she has nothing at all to do with these “fake” votes, if in fact they really do exist.
Bristol Palin is just a young kid trying her best at dancing. When all is said and done, she is doing very well, but maybe it is not the very best performance among the other contestants, as the judges scores have pointed out.
Bristol Palin got her name from Bristol Connecticut. When her mom, Sarah Palin, was younger she wanted to work at ESPN, until she learned it was on the other side of the country in Bristol Connecticut. Although Sarah Palin opted not to go that far away from home to find a job, she liked the name of the town the ESPN studios were in and named her first born daughter after the town, Bristol Connecticut.
