The "Dancing with the Stars" fall 2014 pro cast list is out, and the long-running hit reality dance competition is set to begin Sept. 15 on ABC. Although celebrity casting rumors have been unusually scarce, an eagle-eyed Aug. 19 observation by the folks at PureDWTS suggests that comedian Tommy Chong just might be part of the lineup.

Chong, who is perhaps best known for his comedy act with Cheech Marin and for his more recent role as hippie Leo on "That '70s Show," posted a note on his Facebook page that read "Hey! I just got picked to be on Dancing with the Stars! What the ***k was I thinking?" Although many readers initially assumed the 76-year old Chong was joking, suspicions were heightened when he deleted the post without a word of explanation.

With just over two weeks to go before the full celebrity cast is officially revealed during the Sept. 4 edition of "Good Morning America," Chong is one of very few potential candidates to surface. Others include wrestler James Storm, who implied via Twitter on July 31 that he'd be meeting with "DWTS" execs to discussion potential participation, and country music star Shania Twain, who stirred speculation when she told fans she'd consider taking part in the show during a mid-July chat session.

Spoiler sources have been so effectively throttled that not even the identities of the dancers who will perform as part of the "DWTS" troupe have been revealed. Potential participants include, among others, Jenna Johnson, who was allegedly poised to become a pro coach until show fixture Cheryl Burke decided to make another run at the mirror ball trophy; Henry Byalikov; Sasha Farber; and Lindsay Arnold.

The list of professional dancers who will work with celebrity partners during season 19 features a mix of familiar and less familiar faces. Included in the mix are Burke, Witney Carson, Karina Smirnoff, Peta Murgatroyd, Allison Holker, Emma Slater, Keo Motsepe, Tony Dovolani, Val Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev, Derek Hough, and Mark Ballas.
