"DWTS" experienced its first casualty of the season on Sept. 23. This was a tough but typical consequence for this couple who was ultimately asked to leave after only dancing a couple of times on the ABC hit show's iconic ballroom floorboards.
So who was voted off "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday?
Not so fast. First, all of the competitors participated in the "DWTS" week known as Latin Night. Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke brought on a mean rumba while Amber Riley and Derek Hough performed a jaunty jive. So did Cordon Bleu and Karina Smirnoff.
Also on tap on "Dancing with the Stars" for the second show of the season were Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani doing the samba and Snooki and Sasha Farber bringing on the rumba.
One by one, the pairs who had been practicing for the past month or so showed off their best moves but at the end of the evening on "DWTS" at the beginning of the fall season for 2013, one of these hard-working couples was voted off the show.
That said, three pairs ended up at the bottom of the heap, including Keyshawn Johnson and Sharna Burgess, Bill Engvall and Emma Slater, and Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy. That meant any one of these dancing duos could have been cut from the pack.
So who was ultimately sent packing on "Dancing with the Stars" on Sept. 23?
That would be Keyshawn Johnson and his pro partner, Sharma Burgess. Sad, but true -- and a class act all the way to the end of their career on this legendary TV reality show.
