DWTS Elimination Results: Celebrity Contestant Leaves Show for Medical Reasons

Actor Billy Dee Williams, well-known for playing Lando Calrissian in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, had to leave Dancing With The Stars Season 18 on March 31, not because he was voted off, but because his doctors recommended it.

The 76-year-old (soon to be 77, with his upcoming birthday on April 6) has chronic back pain and has had two hip replacements in the past, so everyone knew to expect a slightly slower pace and less-complicated routines than we're used to seeing from the younger dancers. Now, his doctors have advised him to stop dancing entirely and suggest some serious rest to avoid injuring himself.
