Season 16 “Dancing With the Stars” celebrity dancers were announced on Feb. 26, but who will be partnered with whom? Shortly thereafter, ABC revealed the 11 team partnerships who will be cast in the competition which premiers Monday, March 18:
Season 16 dance partners
Wynonna Judd/Tony Dovolani
D. L. Hughley/Cheryl Burke
Jacoby Jones/Karina Smirnoff
Lisa Vanderpump/Gleb Savchenko
Andy Dick/Sharna Burgess
Victor Ortiz/Lindsay Arnold
Zendaya Coleman/Val Chmerkovskiy
Aly Raisman/Mark Ballas
Ingo Rademacher/Kym Johnson
Kellie Pickler/Derek Hough
Dorothy Hamill/Tristan MacManus
Professional dancer Tony Dovolani will have his work cut out for him with celebrity dancer Wynonna Judd, who can definitely sing, but whose size might be a detriment on the dance floor during intense competition. Dovolani and celebrity dance partner Martina Navratilova were voted off first during season 14; will Tony’s expertise be enough to carry Wynonna through to the top as he did with Melissa Rycroft during season 15?
Boxer Victor Ortiz and professional partner Lindsay Arnold might be at a disadvantage as they come out fighting since it will be the first appearance for both of them on “Dancing With the Stars”. Lindsay is considered a versatile dancer, but it’s likely her Latin-style dancing abilities that will be her shining light during season 16.
Tristan MacManus is back for his fourth competition on DWTS in 2013. Season 13 saw him dancing almost to the semi-finals with celebrity partner Nancy Grace, but being partnered with Pamela Anderson and Gladys Knight did nothing to get him closer to the trophy. Does season 16 partner figure skater Dorothy Hamill have what it takes to bring them both all the way?
