"Dancing with the Stars" fans, brace yourself! The new Fall 2010 cast members will be announced on Monday, August 30 during an episode of ABC's "Bachelor Pad". According to reports from Entertainment Weekly, hosts Brooke Burke and Tom Bergeron will break the news for the next season's dancers.
As reality TV gurus make their guesses at speculated cast members. Here's the break down for those considered to be in the running.
Ali Fedotowsky and "Bachelorette" winner Roberto Martinez
Already in speculation are "Bachelorette" Ali Fedotowsky and rose winner Roberto Martinez. Reality TV buzzed that due to high "Bachelorette" ratings, the season's couple could be the first-ever complete set to compete against each other in the show.
"Jersey Shore" star Mike Sorrentino (aka "The Situation")
Who better to mix up the dance floor than a fist-pumping "guido"? "The Situation" has the body for the ballroom (he's coming out with a fitness tape this Fall) and he's already mastered the tan. According to AccessHollywood, he's definitely in the running for the next season. Unfortunately, nearly half of fans surveyed said they'd rather see "Snooki" competing for the trophy than him.
Oksana Grigorieva
After allegedly being beaten by boyfriend and baby daddy Mel Gibson, Oksana may prove to be bitter-than-tough in the Rumba. The 40-year-old may seem like a delicate flower but fans are guessing she's got more than just music history up her sleeve. As a professional pianist, RadarOnline.com pegged Oksana as a potential runner-up in the casting for "DWTS". Not only did she used to practice for up to 10 hours a day tickling the ivory, she's got years of experience working her body as a fashion model.
Former NFL quarterback Troy Aikman
There's one in every season. Football players are the most stiff competition on the dance floor and with so many Hall of Famers to choose from it's no wonder, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman sees himself in the running. In an interview with TMZ, the hunky pro joked about being cast and then quickly took it back. Was it a Freudian slip?
"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice
She slimmed down after having a baby and now this New Jersey housewife may be ready to Tango! According to RealityTVMagazine, Giudice is likely to be giving "The Situation" a run for his money. Think Mike will be able to serenade the New Jersey cougar into bowing out of the dance field?
