Once again, fans of “Dancing With the Stars” are claiming that the show is rigged. Apparently, fans started complaining that there were voting errors before Meryl Davis and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy won the mirror ball trophy. According to TMZ,Fans accused that the voting for the dance team was falsely padded. Of course, ABC reports that the claims are false.

This sounds like an outlandish claim; however, competitors James Maslow and partner Petra Murgatroyd believe that it is true. They contend that they have the proof showing the votes intended for them, went to Meryl and Maksim tally instead of theirs. They are not alone. Many fans are blaming the Facebook voting for the messed up votes and they are furious.

JoJo Wright, a radio personality, has started a petition to get the votes recounted. However, a representative for ABC denies any problems with the Facebook voting. The representative reported that error was “caching anomaly” and only a few users were affected. To fans, this may have been believable if James and Petra weren’t rated so highly.

This isn’t the first time that “Dancing With the Stars" has been accused of the show being rigged. Hope Solo, a contestant from 2011reported that she thought that the winners were not picked by the public. It was all preplanned. According to HNGN, Hope wrote, "Maks later told me that he had argued with the judges because he had been told we were going to be eliminated, that there was some secret memo going around that said who would be ousted each week," Solo wrote, Radar Online reports. "He explained that he wanted to cause some drama on the live portion of the show so that they wouldn't be able to resist keeping us around, hoping for more fireworks."

Tell us what you think. Is “Dancing With the Stars" rigged and the people’s choice is non-significant, or is this something started by bitter fans?
