'DWTS' 2014 spoilers: 2 Olympians, Sean Avery, others are ballroom bound

Although the official cast announcement is set for March 4, a pair Feb. 27 tweets by @DWTSgossip revealed the identities of a handful of celebrities who will allegedly compete on "Dancing with the Stars" 2014, and teased a few more without naming names.

The celebrities listed include Aussie singer and teen heartthrob Cody Simpson, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum NeNe Leakes, "Full House" actress Candace Cameron Bure, "Big Time Rush" star James Maslow, and former National Hockey League (NHL) star Sean Avery.

But the most intriguing tweet featured a casting reveal that was more of an implication than an actual reveal. The tidbit read "And.... 2 Olympians who won gold and made history for TeamUSA will compete against each other on #dwts"

Given their expressed interest in competing on "DWTS" and their pre-existing relationship with five-time mirror ball trophy winner Derek Hough, Sochi ice dance gold medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White are almost certainly the pair referenced.

According to pro cast spoiler information released on Feb. 26 and updated on Feb. 27, the professional dancers who will be available to instruct the popular Olympians and the other celebrities include Witney Carson, Cheryl Burke, Karina Smirnoff, Emma Slater, Peta Murgatroyd, Sharna Burgess, Henry Byalikov, Mark Ballas, Tony Dovolani, Hough, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

"Dancing with the Stars" 2014 premieres March 17 on ABC.
