The field of female celebrities who will compete for the mirror ball trophy during "Dancing with the Stars" season 19 won't be officially revealed until the Sept. 4 episode of "Good Morning America," but that doesn't mean that curious fans have to wait until then for casting scoop. According to a host of spoiler articles that culminated in an Aug. 28 post by @DWTSGossip, the ladies' roster is set, while the men's side still features plenty of unknowns.
The list of six celebrity ladies who will cha cha, samba, and foxtrot for ballroom glory includes a teen, an Olympian, and a YouTube star, among others. Included are "Duck Dynasty" alum Sadie Robertson, just 17; track and field star turned bobsledder Lolo Jones; fashion video blogger Bethany Mota; "Pretty Little Liars" actress Janel Parrish; fashion designer Betsey Johnson; and "Back to the Future" actress Lea Thompson.
Each of the aspiring dancers will perform on the arm of one of six talented professional male dancers. According to the Aug. 13 pro cast reveal, the roster includes five-time "DWTS" champ Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, Tony Dovolani, Artem Chigvintsev, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Keo Motsepe.
In addition to the six women, three men are virtually confirmed as participants. They include "General Hospital" alum Antonio Sabato Jr., actor Jonathan Bennett, comedian Tommy Chong. The seven female pro coaches are Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Cheryl Burke, Peta Murgatroyd, Karina Smirnoff, Emma Slater, and Allison Holker.
A quartet of professional dancers will also appear as members of the "DWTS" troupe. Included are Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Henry Byalikov, and Lindsay Arnold.
"Dancing with the Stars" season 19 begins Sept. 15 and 16 with a two-night premiere. Tune in to see two-time show winner Julianne Hough's first night as a permanent member of the judging panel.
