With less than a week to go before the "Dancing with the Stars" 2014 March 4 celebrity lineup announcement, "Big Time Rush" star James Maslow again stirred the casting speculation pot with a curious Feb. 26 tweet to his more than two million followers.

The 24-year old actor, who initially raised "DWTS" fans' collective eyebrows by hitting West Hollywood's SUR restaurant with professional dancer and certifiable blonde bombshell Peta Murgatroyd on Feb. 3, heightened already aroused suspicions on Feb. 26 by tweeting "Just got some exciting news...I can't tell you all what it is yet but I will be able to soon! ;)"

Given the timing of the tweet, it isn't a stretch to speculate that Maslow will be part of the cast, perhaps even as season 14 champion Murgatroyd's partner.

Although reliable spoilers have been unusually scarce in the days leading up to the scheduled "Good Morning America" cast reveal, a Feb. 25 E! report named "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum NeNe Leakes and "Full House" actress Candace Cameron Bure as two of season 18's celebrity mirror ball trophy hopefuls.

Other celebrity names floated as potential participants include reality stars Sharon Osbourne and Bruce Jenner, Australian singer and teen heartthrob Cody Simpson, "The Bachelor" 2014 Juan Pablo Galavis, and former NFL star Ray Lewis, among others.

"Dancing with the Stars" 2014 premieres March 17 on ABC.
