Dwight Gooden threats toward his estranged wife is making headlines tonight, as Tracking.Si News reported this Sunday, March 3, that the former Mets player has allegedly threatened his wife Monique following an incident on Friday that led her to call the police and file a restraining order again him.
The celebrity news headline read “Report: Dwight Gooden makes ‘terroristic threat’ to estranged wife” was first reported by a TMZ Insider. Monique Gooden has claimed that Dwight made very real threats against her and her family at home. The couple continue to live together until their pending divorce is settled.
The Dwight Gooden threats to his wife were said by Monique to be almost “terroristic” in nature.
“All bets are off and I will hurt you and your family. You’ll see, just wait.”
A family court judge granted her the restraining order against the former MLB player after speaking to Monique Gooden via a telephone call. The court order instructed Dwight Gooden to take his items and leave the home. He did so, avoiding any other conflict or arrests, said the report.
Until the court order is resolved, Dwight will no longer have rights to visit his two children until this March 11 at a local hearing. The restraining order and its potential permanence will also be discussed at the time, in addition to child support payments and the threats themselves.
