It appears that Hollywood superstar and former WWE icon Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson wasn't kidding when he told the WWE Universe last month that he's back in the WWE and will "never leave." According to the major announcement made by WWE official Joey Styles on Thursday, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be live in Atlanta's Philips Arena for WWE Monday Night Raw the evening after WrestleMania 27. This appearance confirms that The Rock has signed an agreement with WWE to extend his work beyond the pay-per-view appearance scheduled for April 3.

Consequently, many WWE fans and movie buffs are wondering if the Monday after WrestleMania will mark the eventual in-ring slug-fest that is widely anticipated between The Rock and John Cena - two men who are both actors and professional wrestlers.
But as we also learned this week, the hottest on-air rivalry in the world of sports entertainment may actually be rooted in reality. On Thursday, sources inside WWE were quoted in the pro wrestling blogosphere suggesting that a real-life animosity between John Cena and The Rock exists. And the ongoing WWE feud has only served to deepen the tensions that both men feel toward one another.
According to sources in the know, John Cena did, in fact, get under The Rock's skin with comments about the former wrestler-turned-actor left the sport that made him famous and, in the process, acted "too good" to be involved with WWE. Conversely, Cena was said to be livid by the comments Dwayne Johnson made two weeks ago, implying that he paved the way for other WWE superstars - like Cena - to have film careers.
Although its impossible to tell if the rumor mill is actually spinning out some reality these days, it's thought that some WWE officials are actually fearful of a real-life Rock vs. John Cena confrontation. But that's what apparently will take place at WrestleMania 27. And it seems the WWE Universe will be disappointed beyond the capacity for thought if this feud doesn't culminate in a violent fashion.
Do you believe reports that John Cena and The Rock actually hate each other off camera? Or is this latest speculation just "planted" news to generate further hype for the Cena/Rock program that WWE is working? Either way, it has captivated the world's attention. And the feud is clearly overshadowing every match on the WrestleMania 27 card - including what could be Triple H's retirement match.
