If all the sound and buzz that is happening over the DVF x GOOP collaboration has not yet reached your ears, then it will now.
For a long time one of Diane von Furstenberg’s slogan has been “Be the woman you want to be”. So when her power pal & actress Gwyneth Palthrow and her decided to launch a capsule collection, it was undoubtedly that the inspiration came from one another. "Gwyneth is smart, beautiful, and talented, an incredible example of someone who is the woman she wants to be,” says DVF. "Diane epitomizes the 21st-century archetype of a woman," asserts Paltrow.
The 4-piece collection that includes pretty dresses, wrap jumpsuits and sleek clutches will be available exclusively on goop.com beginning September 10. An extra celebration for DVF who is currently preparing for her Spring 15 show and celebrated the 40th anniversary of the invention of the wrap dress with an exhibit in LA earlier this year. In 1974, 26-year-old Diane von Furstenberg created a fashion phenomenon when she introduced her wrap dress to the world. That piece solidified her status as not only a style icon, but also a female pioneer.
DVF joins designers like Stella Mccartney, Nhicolas Kirkwood and many others who have collaborated with GOOP. The site is an eminent lifestyle publication, dedicated to informing and positively inspiring its audience on many subjects.
Of course a Fashion is one of the site's top leading sections and this collaboration is truly a match made in heaven. Viva la femme!
