One of the best films of 2012, the intense drama “Flight” driven by Denzel Washington’s Oscar-nominated performance, is one of them, as well as the Kevin James dramedy “Here Comes the Boom” and the Tyler Perry thriller “Alex Cross”. Pick of the Week: “Flight”
Directed by Robert Zemeckis, this drama stars Denzel Washington as Whip Whitaker, a pilot who pulls off an incredible maneuver and saves the lives of everyone on board his plane when the engines appear to suddenly fail. But his status as a hero is quickly thrown into jeopardy when an investigation into the malfunction reveals that the issue could have been his fault. Runtime: 138 minutes. Rated R for drug and alcohol abuse, language, sexuality/nudity and an intense action sequence.
