Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, this drama set in post-World War II America follows Naval veteran Freddie Quell (Joaquin Phoenix) who, uncertain of his future, is swept into a philosophical movement with a charismatic leader (Philip Seymour Hoffman) that forces him to get in touch with his emotions. Runtime: 138 minutes. Rated R for sexual content, graphic nudity, and language.
