Statham in "Crank 2"; photo from Lionsgate Films
There is only one new major film DVD release today, but action fans are sure to be pleased. That movie is “Crank 2: High Voltage”, the sequel to the 2006 film “Crank”. Both films star Jason Statham as Chev Chelios, a hitman with an indestructible heart. But in this movie, written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, a Chinese mobster steals his heart and replaces it with a battery-powered one that requires jolts of electricity to keep operating, involving Chev in a mystery concerning the head of the Triad gang, Poon Dong (David Carradine). Runtime: 96 minutes. Rated R for frenetic strong bloody violence throughout, crude and graphic sexual content, nudity and pervasive language.
Also on DVD today is the drama “Local Color”, written and directed by George Gallo, and the Czech drama “The Country Teacher”.

The photo you've used is from Crank 1, not Crank 2
Whoops, thank you my anonymous reader! The caption where I got the photo from said it was from Crank 2, and having not seen either film I just assumed it was the right one.
Got something to say?
