This Tuesday’s new DVD and Blu-ray releases include some movies that were quite popular in theaters, including one of the best movies of 2012. That movie would be “Skyfall”, the latest addition to the James Bond franchise. Read about that film and this week’s other new releases below.
Pick of the Week: “Skyfall”
Directed by Sam Mendes, this is the twenty-third film based around British spy James Bond, and the third starring Daniel Craig as the lead. In the film, Bond plays dead after being shot by a fellow agent, resulting in the loss of a list of British agents and the government trying to get Bond’s boss M (Judi Dench) to retire. She refuses to until the matter is resolved, so when Bond comes out of hiding, M tasks him with finding the information. The chase leads Bond to someone from M’s past, someone who wants her dead. Runtime: 143 minutes. Rated PG-13 for intense violent sequences throughout, some sexuality, language and smoking.
Other new releases:
- “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”
- “Silent Hill: Revelation”
- “The Man with the Iron Fist”
- “The Sessions”
- “Bully”
- “Robot and Frank”
