Pick of the Week: “Elysium

Written and directed by Neill Blomkamp, this sci-fi film is set in the year 2154, where the humans are divided with the working class living on Earth and the wealthy living on a space station above the planet called Elysium. On Elysium, there is no war, no disease. An Earth resident named Max (Matt Damon) attempts to break into Elysium when it becomes the only way to save his life, a mission that could bring equality between the two worlds. Runtime: 109 minutes. Rated R for strong bloody violence and language throughout.
