Synopsis ~ Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie -- a.k.a. Flight of the Conchords -- moved to New York in the hopes of forging a successful music career. Unfortunately, despite their status as “New Zealand’s 4th Most Popular Folk Parody Duo,” fame and notoriety continue to elude them. Helping them navigate the strange world of the Big Apple are Murray, their devoted manager and New Zealand’s Cultural Attache; Mel, their obsessed (and only) fan; and Dave, a local pawn shop owner and de facto counsel for how to assimilate in America. Watch as Bret and Jemaine contend with unrequited love, inept criminals, prostitution, and epileptic dogs, breaking into song as they clumsily try to break into the New York scene.

Folky, fun, and effortlessly awkward, Flight of the Conchords: Complete Collection amasses both seasons of the charming HBO hit, providing hours and hours of sublime comedy; but then again, who wouldn’t expect perfection from New Zealand’s 4th most popular folk parody duo.
Clement and McKenzie are great performers both in personality and parody and with the added comic relief of Kristen Schaal's “Mel” – the duo’s only true fan…atic – and a smattering of stand-up comics – Arj Barker, Eugene Mirman, and Rhys Darby just to name a few – Conchords carries out its meandering mission of funny in the pursuit of money… in the form of an ever elusive recording deal.
The series caters mostly to the subtleties of finely tuned humor, rather than the masses friendly overly-obvious shtick, so although the mainstream may not be its true target audience; per say, the series provides just enough personality and punch that one could easily bridge the partiality gap.
Loyal fans will love the extras, especially with the addition of the Flight of the Conchords: One Night Stand, which is a never-before-seen 30 minute special consisting mainly of songs considered too long for series inclusion.
So if the delightfully ridiculous and roundabout pursuit of rock tops your playlist, then cue up Flight of the Conchords: The Complete Collection, because this folk and funny are well worth the money.
