Dutch the service dog ordered Killed

MONTROSE, CO-Dutch a 4-year-old American Allaunt, and registered service dog has been ordered by the court to be surrendered over to Animal Control to be killed.

Jeremy and Heather Aguilar dropped Dutch off with his former owner in November while they dropped off a family member at the airport. The former owner’s dog and Dutch got into a fight, and that is when the former owner took a steel pipe and beat Dutch until his head was swollen. The former owner then dragged Dutch into her home and grabbed at his mouth and that is when Dutch had had enough and bit his former owner in the leg and buttocks. The former owner did not seek medical help and did not required stitches.

The court ordered the Aguilar’s to hand over Dutch to Animal Control under ordinance 6-2-9 (A), Vicious animals.. The Aguilar’s refused and to surrender Dutch and paid to have him evaluated by Carrie Williams a highly recognized and experienced dog trainer and AKC CGC evaluator Sandie Wyman which both stated, “Dutch is anything but aggressive."

The Aguilar’s had offered to send Dutch through a rehabilitation program, but the former owner refused to agree to the Aguilar’s offer, so the court ordered the Aguilar’s to surrender Dutch immediately and they only have 2 hours to do so.

The courts want Dutch destroyed.

The court today ordered the immediate surrender of Dutch and has jailed Jeremy Aguilar for 20 days and will sentence him to 1 year if Dutch is not turned over to Animal Control today. The court has also ordered the Save Dutch official Facebook page to be removed from Facebook.

The Save Dutch Facebook page has been taken down, but as of 2 hours ago another Save Dutch Facebook page has emerged.

The Olympic Animal Sanctuary has come forward to offer a home to Dutch, but the Judge has refused their offer.

Over 300,000 Animal advocates from all over the world have signed the Save Dutch petition and stand behind the Aguilar’s and their battle to save their beloved family member.
