GT Spirit reported earlier today (Feb. 27,2013) that popular Dutch dick jockey and music producer Nick van de Wall (who goes by the name Afrojack) unfortunately crashed the rear end of his brand new 2013 Ferrari 458 Italia just a few minutes (44 to be exact) after taking delivery. It looks like his previous car was an all wheel drive Audi R8, and Afrojack was looking to upgrade into something more exciting.
Fortunately no one was hurt and Afrojack tweeted that everyone is ok,
“Ok that sucks, good thing were all ok!!!! lesson in life: dont drive a ferrari in shit weather!”
The Ferrari 458 Italia is a serious piece of kit. Priced at close to $250,000, it’s a piece of Italian engineering worth getting used to before giving it the proverbial “kick in the pants” down the road. With a 4.5 Liter V8 pumping out a healthy 562 HP and 398 lbs-ft of torque and capable of a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds, this Italian stallion is a vehicle not to be taken lightly.
Looks like Afrojack learned his lesson and with his last tweet being,
“Have to take rear wheel drive lessons, 458 is a monster compared to the R8!”
If you’re into Afrojack and his music, it looks like he’ll be making his way to Miami and nearby San Bernadino for some set appearances later in March of this year.
