Durant’s has been one of Phoenix’s premiere dining destinations for 60 years. Located off of Central Avenue, in the middle of town, it offers the perfect location for business dinners, nights on the town with friends, or a cozy dinner for two.
Known for their delicious steaks, Durant’s offers many varieties of cuts alone with delicious side dishes. The Prime Rib is legendary, and not to be missed. In fact, most people do not consider you a true “Phoenician” if you have not dined at Durant’s at least once. Classic liquors and spirits are in abundance, with the Quervo Reserve de Familia being a house favorite.
Entering Durant’s is a little unusual, but must be done correctly to get the “full experience.” Enter through the back entrance of the restaurant to get the complete Durant’s experience that has been offered for six decades. Once inside, take in all of the sites of original 1950s kitchen appliances and décor that make visiting this restaurant like taking a bite of history.
The dessert menu is amazing, so leave room. Highly recommended is the cheese cake paired with one of their delicious dessert wines.
When visiting Phoenix, Durant’s is definitely on the “must do” list. It is a Phoenix icon that offers customers incredible food, “old Phoenix” ambiance, and a wonderful culinary experience that you will want to come back and have again and again.
