Kevin Durant scored a season-high 37 points and had 14 rebounds to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 120-109 victory over the Golden State Warriors Friday night at a sold-out Oracle Arena.
Russell Westbrook added 28 points, 11 assists and seven steals for the Thunder, who improved their league-best record to 16-3. Serge Ibaka had 20 points and 12 rebounds (eight offensive). James Harden came off the bench to score 19.
Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka went a combined 31 of 59 from the floor. Durant and Harden made all 19 of their free throws.
Dorell Wright scored a season-high 23 points for the Warriors, who dropped to 6-12 on the season. Wright also led the Warriors with nine rebounds and was 8 of 14 from the floor, including 6 of 9 on 3s. David Lee had 19 points and three steals.
Stephen Curry had 15 points and six assists. Monta Ellis had 13 points and six assists. The duo combined to shoot 11 of 33 from the floor and 2 of 11 on 3s, Limited by foul trouble, Curry did not score in the first half.
Klay Thompson scored 14 points, matching his career-high for the fourth time. Released by the Thunder before the season, Nate Robinson scored nine points, including a buzzer-beating 3 from half-court to end the first quarter.
Jeremy Tyler played almost 15 minutes and finished with six points, three rebounds and two assists. Starting center Andris Biedrins went scoreless for a fourth straight game.
The game was much closer than the final score would indicate. It was a three-point game with 8:33 left in the fourth quarter. But the Thunder would use a 12-1 run over the next 3:43 to pull away from the Warriors.
Durant scored eight points during the run, including a 3-pointer and a spectacular alley-oop dunk. Ibaka added a ferocious dunk and Westbrook capped off the run with a three-point play.
Wright made four 3-pointers in the last four minutes to prevent the Thunder from running away with the game.
The Warriors played valiantly, but couldn't match the Thunder when it mattered most, finishing off a quarter.

The turnover battle was even. The Thunder converted 20 turnovers into 15 points. The Warriors converted 22 turnovers into 15 points.
The Thunder shot 47.7 percent to the Warriors' 47.1 percent. The Thunder shot 60 percent in the third quarter. The Warriors shot 61.9 percent in the fourth quarter.
The Warriors made 12 of 28 3-pointers and 15 of 19 free throws. The Thunder made 4 of 17 3-pointers, but made 32 of 37 free throws.
The Thunder dominated the Warriors in rebounds (53-34), offensive rebounds (19-10), second-chance points (19-6) and points in the paint (58-28).
Golden State will have three days off before playing the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. The Warriors are 1-3 on their current six-game homestand.
