The first single off the coming Duran Duran tribute album will be Moby's take on "Rio," and the track could be heard online May 27, a full week before its release.

From Manimal Vinyl, the single is set to be released June 3, and the full album won't be out until July.

The cover already has the Duran stamp of approval. "Moby Rio Remake is COOL," bassist John Taylor has enthused.

The song features music by Moby and a female vocal, making the cover a truly fresh take on the original Duran Duran hit.

"The lovely Mindy Jones performed vocal duties on Moby's hypnotic version of @duranduran 'Rio,'" Manimal Vinyl recently tweeted.

The album, "Making Patterns Rhyme," also will feature versions of Duran classics by the likes of Warpaint, Juliette Lewis, Halo Circus, Liars, and Spirit Vine.

All proceeds from the release will go to Amnesty International.

There are several albums paying tribute to the new wave originators, including "The Duran Duran Tribute Album" featuring pop-punk artists and "The Songs of Duran Duran UnDone" featuring Australian artists.
