Duran Duran to go retro for Record Store Day offering

Duran Duran announced Wednesday that a limited-edition blue vinyl version of "Is There Something I Should Know?" will be available on Record Store Day to mark the 30th anniversary of the hit song.

The 1983 single was the Birmingham, England, band's first to hit No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart and drove sales of the band's debut album, to which it was added for its re-release. The single reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song's 2013 reissue will recreate the original 7-inch single, complete with instrumental B-side "Faith In This Colour."

Duran also participated in Record Store Day 2011 with a 7-inch version of the "All You Need Is Now" track "Girl Panic!" That record also included a remix by film director David Lynch.

Record Store Day, which celebrates the culture of independent record stores, will take place April 20. For a searchable list of participating stores, see http://www.recordstoreday.com/Home.
