No one should ever think about robbing a Dunkin’ Donuts because a cashier might just use hot coffee as a defense.
Saturday night, a crook actually tried to rob a Dunkin' Donuts in West Haven, Connecticut. This suspect “pulled up to the drive-through in a white Ford Explorer and asked [Angelica] to make change of a $100 bill.”
The cashier said no, and that was when “the driver told her it was a robbery and attempted to climb through the window.”
Since the robber’s arm was inside the window, this cashier could not shut it.
According to the Hartford Courant, Angelica “grabbed a pot of coffee and doused him with hot java" in order to protect herself.
Immediately, the suspect rushed inside his truck and left. Angelica told NBC that she said, “Go run on Dunkin” as he fled without stealing any money.
