Save yourself! Donuts life preservers are coming soon to a Dunkin’ Donuts near you. On August 4, Dunkin’ Donuts will unveil a limited-time only donut called the Shark Bite Donut. The yeast donut will be decorated with red and white icing made to look like a life preserver.
The special release donut comes as part of Dunkin’ Donuts campaign to celebrate Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.

Dunkin’ Donuts is encouraging donut and shark lovers to join in on the Shark Week festivities by participating in its “Take A Bite, Take a Pic” selfie contest. Anyone who posts themselves taking a bite out of a Dunkin’ Donuts breakfast item with the #DDSharkWeek hashtag on Instagram or Twitter will have an opportunity to win prizes including at $100 Dunkin’ Donuts gift card and a Shark Week Prize Pack.
If the selfie is good enough, it might even make it onto Discovery Channel’s “Shark After Dark”, the late-night Shark Week talk show.
The Shark Bite Donut will be available at participating stores nationwide for a limited time only and while supplies last.
