The North Walk Tour will lead you through the oldest part of the former West Virginia Penitentiary. Closed to the public for years, this maximum security area where the most dangerous inmates were housed is known as an area of high paranormal activity. Daily murders, violence and brutality were commonplace in this area of the prison called "The Alamo" and 'The Hole" by the inmates.
Visitors will enter the North Walk Tour via the "Administration Building" and the "wheel." Special Note: The North Walk is not an attraction (like the rest of Dungeon of Horrors) but a tour of an area that was considered one of the bloodiest in the nation.

Many believe that the prisoners still haunt the penitentiary to this day.
