Drizzling rain did not keep the Exploratory Team away from the incredible location of the "Dungeon" which tempted us with light whispers and tappings to stay til dawn. A temptation too hard to resist, but the team will be going back for a full blown investigation on the property to find out more about the "sense of comfort and urgency" to the spirits who seemed to be "pulled" to this location, and to those that are already "tenants".
After examining the location and sensing that the "hauntings" that the homeowner reported were absolutely viable and a constant we also felt that this is a haunt that has been going on long before the property stood here. The area is very active by multiple spirits that seemed to be "contained" in this dungeon location. Other spirits and orbs were drawn to a tree that stood on the side of the home.
The area has history of the "Lenape" Indians who inhabited the land many years ago. The old Alsace Cemetery was also close by, but no evidence found of where it was actually situated. Talk of the Underground Railroad tunnels that were apparently right where the Dungeon was located. Could some of the slaves been trapped in one of those tunnels while trying to capture long awaited freedom?
Did the river that was just a few feet away from the property flood and possible cause one or more of the tunnels to collapse while they were still inside?
Many unanswered questions that might just linger on forever, or until we get to the "other" side to find out.
