Dungeon Defenders is a multiplayer co-op tower defense/action RPG hybrid for up to four players and is normally $14.99 but is now a free download from the Xbox Store through March 31. Players have four classes to choose from - Apprentice, Huntress, Monk and Squire - to defend their dungeons (hence the name) against waves of goblins, orcs, kobolds, ogres, and wyverns.

Offline splitscreen mode is supported in addition to the online multiplayer.

An Xbox LIVE Gold subscription is required to download the games for free but, once purchased, the games are yours to keep even after your subscription ends. Subscriptions are currently available for $59.99 from Amazon, Best Buy, Microsoft Store, Newegg and Walmart. For those willing to wait, the Gold subscription regularly drops down to $40 to $45.

In a recent interview with Polygon, Xbox Vice President Phil Spencer stated that the Games with Gold program will evolve. The hint is that more recent games and more first-party titles could be coming.
