Duneblast is one of the newest Magic: The Gathering cards revealed at PAX Prime from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert expansion set Khans of Tarkir. This powerful board sweeper rivals other we've seen, and feels as though it should have belonged in From the Vault: Annihilation as a preview card.

The Abzan turn to this spell only as a last resort, for its inevitable result is what they most dread: to be alone.
Many players try to limit the amount of creatures they play when running spells like End Hostilities or Wrath of God in order to maximize the amount of card advantage. Martial Coup can leave you with a small army of token creatures, however Duneblast allows you or your teammate to keep your largest threat and attack unopposed.
One way to abuse Duneblast is by using creatures that regenerate, such as Eater of Hope. This will allow you to have multiple creatures left after the dust has settled.
Duneblast makes a fantastic addition to any Karador, Ghost Chieftain or Ghave, Guru of Spores commander Choosing to keep one of your opponent's creatures alive might be good politics in multiplayer games like Commander, and can result in ending up with an aly. It's a win-win scenario if you're not running many creatures of your own and you've convinced the other player to attack someone other than you.
