Despite its unappealing name, dump cake is actually really tasty, and even it’s even easier to make. It’s such an easy cake to make, that it has become a favorite among amateur chefs. Dump cake is easy to make primarily due to the fact that creating this cake involves the process of simply “dumping” all the ingredients together, simultaneously in a baking dish and placing the contents in the oven to brew. That’s it; easy as eating cake!

There are no set ingredients pertaining to making a dump cake. Due to dump cake’s subjective nature, a dump cake allows for a chef to be creative, and invent new ways to create a dump cake. A dump cake can contain just a few ingredients or a large sum; it all simply depends on the chef. If you’re a busy parent, but it’s time for your son or daughter’s birthday, you can easily make a cake yourself all within minutes with a dump cake. Simply layer a few of their favorite flavors together in a pan and bake.

Although there are no set rules for making a dump cake, many people prefer to add some type of canned fruit, especially the combination of cherries and pineapples, to the mix. Additionally, dump cakes do not usually take on the form of a normal cake, but they resemble that of a typical cobbler, instead.
