Duluth Tri Team ready to start training sessions

The Duluth Tri Team starts Monday, and despite the cold spring, they are eager to get things started. This first week is team building week where everyone sticks together:

Monday they will meet at the Center for Personal Fitness at 6:30 a.m. for an easy swim followed by a run. Everyone should meet on pool deck.

Tuesday they will meet at the Evolve studio under Tycoons (at the Michigan Street entrance) for a spin, jog, and hot yoga workout. If you have SPD compatible bike cleats bring them, otherwise tennis shoes will work fine.

Wednesday is the same as Monday.

Thursday they will be an intro to "Brick workouts" with a road bike and run. Directions: take Howard Gneson Road 6 miles north past Martin Road. Take a left turn on Emerson Road, go 1 mile and park at the church Road Emerson Road intersection.

They will cover all kinds of weekly details at the first meeting on Monday. If you're apprehensive, don't worry. We are here to help you. Their coaching staff is fantastic.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a friend because there's still room.
