UNC, on the other hand, is desperately in need of a win.
The No. 5 Blue Devils (21-3, 12-0) will put their undefeated conference record on the line against Virginia Tech (7-18, 3-9) at Cameron Indoor Stadium. And the Tar Heels (17-8, 7-5) – unranked for the first time all season – will visit Florida State (13-13, 5-7). Both games are at 7 p.m.
It’s the Blue Devils’ annual “Play 4 Kay” night saluting breast cancer awareness, for which Duke will wear pink-trimmed uniforms with pink shoelaces and fans are encouraged to wear pink as well.
Freshman center Elizabeth Williams (14.2, 8.4) will lead the heavily favored Blue Devils, followed by Chelsea Gray (11.2, 6.2 assts.), Haley Peters (10.8, 5.2) and Tricia Liston (10.8, 4.0).
Monet Tellier (14.3, 4.7) paces the Hokies, followed by Aerial Wilson (11.5, 3.2 assts.)
UNC will look to break a three-game losing streak, all against Top 25 teams including a two-point heartbreaker to Georgia Tech at home on Sunday.
Chay Shegog (16.1, 7.4) is the only Tar Heel scoring in double figures.
Cierra Bravard (13.9, 6.7) leads FSU, followed by Alexa Deluzio (13.2, 4.0) and Natasha Howard (12.3, 9.0).
