Duke, Duchess of Cambridge's household help to perform 'unheard of' duties (Video)

Kate Middleton and Prince William are in search of some household help. The royal couple are reportedly looking to hire a servant for when they move into Kensington Palace later this year, the Sunday Express reported Sunday. The job description states the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are looking for a full-time servant who is loyal, discrete and reliable to do traditional household chores such as laundry and cleaning. But that's far from all they'll be doing.

Kate Middleton, Prince William won't hire full-time nanny for royal baby

An insider is quoted as saying the royal couple, who are known for employing a very small staff, have also added a few nontraditional duties to the job requirements. According to reports, Kate and Wills want someone who is also willing to walk their dogs, run errands, and do some basic cooking. "It is unheard of for one person to be asked to perform so many duties," a source tells the Sunday Express referring to duties often performed by a team of people rather than just one. "Clearly the Duke and Duchess are going to get their money's worth out of whoever gets the job."

According to the job description, the household help will be required to work at least 37 hours a week Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and must have the flexibility to work overtime hours. "The advert states that they’ll be required to work extra hours and you can bet your life they will," the insider says. At least 15 people have reportedly already applied for the position despite the demands.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are expected to move into Kensington Palace in the late summer or early fall. Prince Margaret's former apartment is being renovated for them. Contractors ran into some delays when they discovered asbestos in the 5-bedroom residence.

It's still unclear if the Duke and Duchess, who are expecting a baby in July, will hire a full or part-time nanny.
