War Horse will have its United Kingdom premiere at the Leicester Square, London Odeon this January 8, and late last year it was already reported that Prince Harry would attend and walk the red carpet. Today, January 3, MSN Movies, “The Daily Mail” and others confirmed that Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge were also expected to attend; the news was confirmed by Clarence House.
Funds from the premiere will raise money for the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, of which the Duchess of Cambridge is also now a patron. The Royals will meet director Stephen Spielberg, and are also likely to meet the War Horse himself – Joey. Six hundred serving and ex-military will be guests at the World War I movie.
After the event, the couple are expected to attend a fundraising black tie dinner, then may sneak off to attend a not-so-secret party being thrown by Pippa Middleton for her sister Kate Middleton's 30th birthday.
