The super-sized Duggar family from "19 Kids and Counting" is bracing for a super-sized winter storm named Cleon. The famous family lives in Springdale, Ark., an area that is directly in the path of potentially treacherous weather, including ice. KFSM posted on Dec. 4 that residents emptied store shelves to prepare for Cleon. Power crews reported to work at 5 a.m. on Thursday to deal with a potential accumulation of ice. In addition, schools in and around Springdale are closed on Wednesday.

Back in 2009, the Duggar family endured another crippling ice storm and the event played out on “19 Kids and Counting.” The Duggars lost many trees on their property and the children were forced to stay inside for days. Gil Bates, who owns a tree service, chipped in to help his friend Jim Bob Duggar remove the debris that toppled from the weight of the ice. Be sure to check out the video above and to the left to see how the Duggars copped with the historic ice storm in 2009.

Now, the Duggar family may face a similar situation when this rare southern winter storm strikes the area on Thursday. According to The Weather Channel, Springdale is under a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. The forecast calls for 4-6” of snow and sleet, along with an ice accumulation. Travel on the roads will be hazardous and power outages are expected. However, the Duggars have a back-up generator and a large stock of food on hand, so they are prepared to ride out Winter Storm Cleon.

Cousin Amy Duggar and her mom and dad are also set for the winter storm in Ark. According to Amy, Deanna checks the weather “at least 50 times a day.” On Thursday morning, the aspiring singer posted on Twitter:

Jack Frost is nipping at my nose! #hellowinter
