It's time to declare the best fiddler!
If you are looking for something to provide entertainment and support a great cause, look no further on your calendar than April 16th. There will be a benefit concert for Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg by “Dueling Fiddlers” Adam Degraff and Russell Fallstad.
They have been friends for over twenty years, studying with the same teacher, attending the same music school, and embarking on the same career paths. However they decided to change their art and they now “duel” on the stage and let the audience decide who the “victor” is. They improvise, play many styles of music – from Bach to blues, bluegrass, and rock – and give an impressive performance and a wonderful musical experience at the same time.
Here is a clip of Mr. Degraff warming up with Gun's and Roses' Sweet Child O' Mine.
They will be performing at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg at 7:30, with a ticketed reception to follow. Ticket prices range from $10 - $15 for the concert with separate prices for the reception afterwards. This is a great way to support the arts in our community, and to support a wonderful facility in West Virginia. If you have never been to Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg you will be in for a treat.
