It's time for Ajani Goldmane and Nicol Bolas to come to Magic: The Gathering, Duel Deck style. Like previous offerings such as Elspeth vs. Tezzeret, this planeswalker showdown package will feature two planeswalker-centric decks designed to battle with each other.
Announced courtesy of the Magic Arcana and the inexplicable Monty Ashley, this pair of duel decks has a rather interesting matchup going.
Based on the artwork and provided flavor, it looks like it will be the Ajani Vengeant version of the pride leader - but it could still very well be the core set iteration of our favorite leonin.
Duel Decks: Ajani vs. Bolas has a MSRP of $19.99 and will be hitting shelves with cosmic force on September 2, 2011.
Ajani vs. Bolas features two 60 card preconstructed decks that are ready to play right out of the box, and will probably play best against each other – Grab a friend and get ready to face off.
Ajani vs. Bolas will likely feature some saucy new artwork on several included cards, just as Elpeth vs. Tezzeret came with a retrofitted Swords to Plowshares, Crusade, Mishra's Factory, and the planeswalkers themselves.
