The Anaheim Ducks keep rolling along. On Jan 15, 2014, they tallied six power play goals, and crushed the Vancouver Canucks by a score of 9-1 to remain unbeaten at home this season (20-0-2).

It was the team's eighth straight win.

In doing so, they also joined the 1967-68 Montreal Canadiens, as the only teams in NHL history to win 18-of-19 games.

That Montreal team went on to win 20-of-21 games from Jan 6-Feb 22, 1968, and then won the Stanley Cup that spring.

As the Ducks head to the road for back to back games on Friday and Saturday night in Chicago, and then St. Louis, they can match the feat of only one loss in 21 games.

The Ducks are on the cusp of another NHL record as well, longest home point streak to start a season. They have already tied the impressive mark of 22 games, which is also held by the 2008-09 San Jose Sharks.

The 1978-79 NY Islanders (23 games), and the 1979-80 Philadelphia Flyers (26 games) are the only teams to have surpassed that mark of 22.

If the Ducks eclipse either record, it will happen on their home ice at Honda Center in Anaheim. After the games in Chicago and St Louis, the Ducks will begin an eight-game *homestand on Tues, Jan 21.

* 'Homestand' will include Jan 25 outdoor game at Dodger Stadium vs Los Angeles Kings.
