The "Duck Dynasty" wives have been promoting their new book, "The Women of Duck Commander," and some interesting revelations have come out in the process. According to an March 31 article on, the Robertson ladies have been very honest and real with their fans, even to the point of sharing painful personal memories.

When these ladies share their faith, they are not coming from the perspective of a little prim and proper church lady. Did you know that Miss Kay was pregnant with Alan when she married Phil Robertson at age 16? (Clever fans may have already done the math.) Alan Robertson's wife, Lisa, has admitted to having an affair that almost cost her marriage.

These ladies are very upfront about their faith in God, but it is not in a "holier than thou" sort of way. They have lived normal lives, and they have found God in spite of it. Miss Kay has managed to build a strong Christian family in a situation that was less than optimal at the beginning.

When the ladies of "Duck Dynasty" talk about their faith and families, women should listen!
