The stars of ‘Duck Dynasty’ can now add “music video” to their resume credits. In an article dated Thurs. Mar. 7, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that some of the Robertson family appeared in Darius Rucker’s ‘Wagon Wheel’ video. The camo crew has become quite the television sensation, and as a result they have attracted attention from the country music world.
Rucker asked Jase, Korie, Si, Sadie, and Willie to be a part of his new video, along with Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum. The shoot took place earlier this week. Apparently it was the idea of Rucker’s wife to have the ‘Duck Dynasty’ group in the video. The former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman figured that the chance was slim to none because the A&E stars are currently so busy, but his wife took it upon herself to call his manager.
Rucker acknowledged that the Louisiana family took his video to a whole new level, and that he is glad his wife put her plans into action.
“It was a good time for sure, and I can’t wait to see how the video turns out!” said Rucker.
Though we do not know what roles our favorite bearded men or the ladies took on, we can rest assured that it should be an entertaining video. We can also assume that the Robertson's role is probably a comical one as they are known to keep viewers laughing.
“Wagon Wheel” will be on Rucker’s upcoming album, “True Believers” that is slated for release this spring.
Looks like the Robertson family is on their way to becoming GAC and CMT stars as well! Stay tuned for forthcoming announcements. Also, be sure to tune in to 'Duck Dynasty' next week as episode 3 of season 3 will be airing.
