After a few days of keeping quiet about the happenings surrounding his comments in an interview with GQ Magazine, Phil Robertson has finally spoken out. Robertson held a Sunday Bible study group in Louisiana where he talked vaguely about what was going on. According to a Dec. 23 report from Today, Phil Robertson is standing behind his remarks but also claims he is a lover not a hater. The entire Robertson family has been vocal about their Christian ways, and while it may be politically incorrect to voice your opinions on homosexuality, Phil Robertson didn’t hesitate to answer the questions thrown at him during the magazine interview.
Fans around the country are standing behind the “Duck Dynasty” patriarch. And while there is plenty of support, there is also plenty of anger as well. A&E has still suspended Phil Robertson indefinitely, which is going to cause the rest of the clan to go on hiatus as well. The Robertson family will stand behind their patriarch all the way.
Both critics and fans of the show are waiting to find out what the final outcome will be for the fate of “Duck Dynasty.” Several other networks are interested in the show if A&E should decide to ditch it. Even without the show, the Robertson family will be fine.
